Under the slogan “Innovation to feed the world”, Panama will host the XIV International Rice Conference, one of the great technical-scientific events in this field in the American continent and the world.

The event that will be held between June 10 and 14 of next year, will be attended by international experts with the intention of updating knowledge to achieve a more efficient and sustainable rice production.

During that same period, the 9th International Conference on Pyricularia in Rice and Wheat will be held in the country, where scientific advances will be known to combat this disease, which significantly affects both crops. Thus, Panama is preparing to receive, for the first time, two of the largest technical-scientific rice events in the American continent and the world.
