Panama will host the most important cybersecurity event in Ibero-America on May 21st-23rd

From May 21 to 23, 2025, Panama will host the V STIC Conference | RootedCON Congress Chapter Panama, a leading international event in the field of cybersecurity, which will be held at the Panama Convention Center (Amador), in Panama City, for the second consecutive year in the country.

This fifth edition of the event will take place under the slogan “International commitment to global cybersecurity”, and is organized by the National Cryptologic Center of the National Intelligence Center, the Joint Cyberspace Command and RootedCON of Spain, together with the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (Senacyt) and the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) of Panama.

Those interested in attending the #STICPANAMÁ Conference can register for free through the form enabled on the event website. This form will also allow you to register for the RootedCON workshops, which will be held on the morning of May 22. The registration period will end on May 16 or until the capacity is complete.

After its organization in Bogotá (Colombia, 2021), Medellín (Colombia, 2022), Punta Cana (Dominican Republic, 2023) and Panama City (Panama, 2024), the #STICPANAMÁ conferences will bring together professionals in the Ibero-American cybersecurity sector for three days. With representation of more than 20 countries, its objective is to strengthen cooperation in cybersecurity between the countries of Ibero-America and Spain.

In this fifth edition, the event will have an exhibition area where the main companies in the sector will participate. The program will be divided into three rooms of talks and workshops that will operate simultaneously:

Sala STIC (face-to-face + online) will offer three thematic conference modules and experience exchange panels.

  • International Module (World Wednesday, May 21)
  • Cooperation Module (Thursday, May 22)
  • Institutional Module (Friday, May 23)

RootedCON room (face-to-face + online, except on May 22, which will be only in person). It will host practical and technical cybersecurity activities, as well as advanced training activities on cyber threats. On May 22, workshops will be held with registration and restricted access. These training activities will be face-to-face and with an associated cost of assistance. One of the workshops entitled “Actionable intelligence: IoCs IoAs and how to make your SOC not die in an attempt to manage your Threat Intel”, will have a symbolic price, whose proceeds will go to a charitable cause.

CCN room (face-to-face only). Sessions taught by the National Cryptologic Center to share its experience in the management of cybersecurity projects and activities aimed at improving the capabilities of prevention, detection and response to cyberthreats.

Registration information: Registration and access to the event are free, although registration is subject to validation of the request by the organization. Attendees who are validated will receive the necessary information to book accommodation with a special rate at the RIU Plaza Panama Hotel, a collaborator of the #STICPANAMÁ Conference.
