Yesterday the Cube-Sat project was announced, which seeks to create the first Panamanian satellite, with the launch scheduled for 2025.
The satellite will not be placed in orbit until the necessary studies and tests are carried out, which is expected to occur in December of this year.
The project is expected to be in the construction and assembled phase by the middle of next year.
The Panamanian Cube-Sat will receive funding from international institutions and it is estimated that it will cost more than $400 thousand.
It is expected that the satellite can help in monitoring temperature, humidity, child phenomenon, hurricanes and other data that impact the lives of citizens.
