Panama eliminated the obligation to present Covid-19 tests and quarantine for travelers arriving in the country by air, sea, and land, as long as the anticovid vaccine has been applied.

The Ministery of Health published this Tuesday, August 30, in the  Official Gazette  resolution 833 that establishes that all travelers will be exonerated from presenting any Covid-19 test, at any point of entry, provided that they have registered digitally or present your vaccination card with both doses (after 14 days from your last dose).

For travelers who come from “low-risk countries” and do not have the complete vaccination scheme, they must present a PCR or negative antigen test for up to 72 hours of validity. Otherwise, they must be tested at the point of entry.

And for those who come from “high risk” countries and are not vaccinated or do not have both doses, they must meet two requirements: present a negative PCR or antigen test valid for 72 hours or perform the test at the point of entry, and serve a 72-hour quarantine. If you are a resident, the quarantine must be done at home, if you are a foreigner, in a hotel.

The Minsa also established that minors under 12 years of age are not required to undergo any coronavirus test if their parents or caregivers meet the requirements according to the level of epidemiological risk of the country of origin.
