Proposals range between $163 million and $178 million, and were submitted by Salud Panamá Norte, Hospital Panamá Norte y COPISA – Fortec D’Angelo for the design and building of a new hospital in North Panama.

The proposal from the consortium Salud Panamá Norte was $163.2 million, Hospital Panama Norte bid $178.4 million and COPISA – Fortec D’Angelo bid $187.5 million. The proposal by Hospital de Panamá Norte will have 300 inpatient beds; an emergency department with 6 offices, 6 trauma beds and 14 observation beds; a surgical center with five operating rooms; a maternity suite with 4 delivery rooms, an operating room and 14 observation beds and 4 labor recovery rooms.

From a statement issued by the Social Security Department:

Three consortia submitted proposals on Friday 13 May, for the design, construction, equipment and maintenance of Hospital de Panamá Norte, belonging to the Department of Social Security, which will be located in the village of Las Cumbres, with a reference price of 171 million 864 560 thousand balboas.

The economic proposal submitted by consortium Salud Panama Norte was for the amount of 163.2 million dollars, that of Hospital Panama Norte was 178.4 million dollars and that of COPISA – Fortec D’Angelo rose to 187.5 million dollars.
