Panama Reopens the Doors to Health Fair

After 11 years of absence, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama (CCIAP) reopens today ExpoMédica 2015, aiming to promote medical services and health products.

The biennial fair aims to present advances in the fields of human and veterinary medicine, for which is confirmed the presence of some 75 local and regional companies specializing in health, beauty, nutrition and sports, they said the organizers.

In parallel with the fair will take place the National Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships 2015 (set of physical exercises which include flexibility, endurance, balance, etc.).

Speaking to the press, the acting president of the CCIAP, Jorge Garcia Icaza, said such meetings enables the exchange between producers and buyers, while he did not ruled out the possibility that Panama will become receiver of health tourism for specialized treatments.

He noted that the meeting, to be held until Saturday, is the ideal space to establish business contacts.

The first edition of ExpoMédica took place in 1993 and the last in October 2003; when resuming the event, the CCIAP aims to insert the fair as one of the most important in the country.
