Panama receives the flag of the World Robot Olympiad 2023

Panama received the flag of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) on Saturday, which accredits it as the venue for international competition in 2023.

The flag was received by the First Lady of the Republic and ambassador of Steam education for the Americas of the Pan American Foundation for the Development of the OAS (PADF), Yazmín Colón de Cortizo along with Marvin Castillo, president of Fundesteam, the office reported through a press release.

Panama honors this WYRO flag and we will follow the path of preparation for the 2023 Olympics, now with this experience in Dortmund we will reinforce knowledge and prepare more students, teachers and judges to provide a good representation next year,” Yazmín Colón de Cortizo, First Lady of the Republic, said in writing.

The Panamanian teams that participated in the World Robotics Olympiad in Dortmund, Germany, performed well in the competition, facing more than 350 teams from more than 70 countries.

teams that represented Panama in Germany first participated in the first regional robotics Olympics and then in the VIII National Robotics Olympiad, thus having a good preparation to go to the 2022 World Robotics Olympiad.
