After five months of having paralyzed the construction in the country because of the pandemic caused by the covid-19 outbreak, the authorities are  reactivating the activities of the sector.

In mid-August, the Ministry of Health gave the go-ahead to reactivate 27 road infrastructure projects nationwide. The remaining public and private projects will be able to restart their activities on September 7.

Ramón Martinez, Minister of Commerce and Industry, explained that the opening of the construction sector will be gradual and everything will depend on the private sector, financing and the progress of the works.

This reopening takes place after the Cabinet Council endorsed the Updated National-Provincial Reopening Plan, which is based on biosecurity indicators and the effective reproduction rate of covid-19 cases, and contemplates to start reopening productive activities from September 7th.
