The 2023-2024 Cruise Season begins in the Panama Cruise Terminal, and revenues for the country are estimated at about US$11.5 billion

The Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP) reported that on September 1 of this year the 2023-2024 Cruise season begins in the Panama Cruise Terminal, and revenues for the country are estimated at about US$11,505.2 billion, since passenger ships will be received that will carry out operations in transit and in the Base Port.

According to the AMP, a passenger in transit can consume approximately US$100 between tours, meals, purchase of reminders, etc. and for the operations of Puerto Base the approximate consumption is US$350, since accommodation in local hotels is included.

To date there are a total of 49 reservations, of which 31 are for operations in transit and 18 for operations in Base Port and it is expected that approximately 69,633 passengers in transit operations and 12,974 passengers in operations in Base Port arrive on board these cruises, the latter number is doubled when an embarkation and disembarkation operation is carried out due to the type of operation.

Cruises are expected this season from Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruise, Phoenix Reisen, Princess Cruise, Peace Boat, Swan Hellenic, Viking Ocean Cruise, Residensea, Scenic Luxury, Holland America Line, Windstar Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas, Silver Seas and Seabourn.
