The National Assembly has passed a law which creates the National Securities Commission and regulates securities and OTC negotiations.

The full National Assembly approved on its third reading Bill No. 360 amending the only text of Decree Law 1 of 1999, which created the National Commission on Securities and which regulates the Stock Market in the Republic of Panama.
Through Law 67 of September 1, 2011, through which reforms were introduced to Decree Law I of 8 July 1999, an article is devoted to the goal of developing the concept of other trading platforms and development of over the counter stock markets: this arrangement enshrined in Article 98 of the single text of Decree Law 1 of July 8, 1999, is not sufficient to develop the activity and establish legal certainty on the concepts in the study.
