In order to promote access to credit for Panamanian exports and investment insurance for Private Public Partnership projects, the signing of a Collaboration Agreement between Astradius and the Investment Attraction and Export Promotion Authority (PROPANAMÁ) was consolidated, an act that took place within the framework of a Panama Trade Mission in the Netherlands.
Astradius is an export credit institution, and with the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), it will allow you to work collaboratively to promote credit programs for Panamanian exporters interested in the European market. Its facilities house more than 500 employees, part of the 3,700 who work in the 55 offices they have around the world.
The commercial actions also included a reapprochment with key institutions of the Dutch market, to promote bridges that facilitate commercial relations between companies and entities in both countries.
In addition, Panamanian officials held a conference to address in a general way the opportunities of projects and businesses in Panama, and the legal aspects that make it a safe market to invest. A business agenda was also developed to exchange with institutions interested in investing in the Panamanian market.
The Panamanian commercial mission also had meetings with various entities such as NLinBusiness and LIOF with the aim of publicizing the benefits of establishing regional business centers in our country, working together and obtaining information on investment strategies and plans between the two countries. We also made approaches with organizations such as Deltares and KWR, with whom we seek to collaborate and exchange information and good practices.
Currently, Deltares is already carrying out projects in Panama, based on the blue economy, among which are “Blue Gender Gap Panama”. The objective was to specify in the future the establishment of a research center related to the study of water that involves other Dutch entities such as KWR Water Research Institute, and Panamanian institutions such as the Panama Canal Authority (ACP); National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT); Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN); City of Knowledge and the Technological
