With this implementation, Panama strengthens its position as a leader in innovation within the global maritime sector. The Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP) announced on Monday the official authorization of the new Electronic Registry of Ships (REN), a digital platform that is now available to all users from 8:00 a.m. today, according to the General Directorate of Public Registry of Ships.
Panama enables the new Electronic Ship Registry for all users
The REN represents a technological leap for the Panamanian maritime sector by integrating more than 16 independent systems in a single platform. This innovation seeks to optimize the management of procedures, reduce errors and minimize waiting times, improving the overall efficiency of the service.
People who belong to law firms, notaries or government institutions must indicate their affiliation in the “Name of your organization” field, which will make it easier for internal teams to follow up on ongoing procedures.
Individual access for security
The AMP recalled that accesses to the platform are personal, so each employee of an organization must register their own user. This guarantees the traceability and security of the information handled within the system.
With this implementation, Panama strengthens its position as a leader in innovation within the global maritime sector, offering digital tools that respond to international standards of efficiency and transparency.
