My good friend Roberto Eisenmann III was kind enough to share this video presentation that just came out which documents the history of the transfer of the Panama Canal from the United States to Panama, and the long political and moral battles behind it. The documentary highlights the controversial Panama Canal Treaties of 1978, the two-decade long transition period, and the official transfer of the Canal to Panama in 1999.

I was born in 1954 in the Canal Zone and this presentation makes me proud to be a Panamanian and American Citizen living in my home country. Take the time to watch the entire video as it is well worth it.
