Promoting measures to strengthen the capacity to reduce the impact of disasters is one of the objectives of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Republic of Panama and the Federative Republic of Brazil, in the field of humanitarian cooperation and disaster reduction.

The document signed by the Minister of Government, Roger Tejada and the director of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, Ruy Carlos Pereira, seeks to increase resilience, through the timely delivery of aid in case of atmospheric calamities and humanitarian crisis in the region. Likewise, it highlights the strategic vision and effort made by Panama to develop the Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH). It was up to the Deputy Minister of Multilateral Affairs and International Cooperation, Yill Otero, to be the honorary witness at the signing.

Through this agreement, the development of humanitarian cooperation activities and actions is promoted, including the air transport of cargo to and from the Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH), which will be coordinated by the Federative Republic of Brazil with the Republic of Panama.

It will be up to the Ministry of Government of Panama and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency to coordinate and supervise the collaborative actions carried out in the future with this memorandum of understanding.
It was up to the Deputy Minister of Multilateral Affairs and International Cooperation, Yill Otero, to be the witness of honor in the signing.
