Panama: Air France – KLM moves its operations to Tocumen Airport’s Terminal 2

On January 16 Air France – KLM moved its operations to Terminal 2 of Panama’s Tocumen International Airport (PTY). The French-Dutch group is the first airline to offer long-haul services from the new facilities. The first operation was flight KL 757, with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner registered with the registration PH-BKC and christened «Busy Lizzie». The aircraft took off from Schiphol Airport (AMS) at 12:19 local time and landed at Tocumen International Airport (PTY), after ten hours and 46 minutes. Passengers traveling on both airlines will have to check in their flight and baggage at Terminal 2. Upon arrival in Panama, they will have to go through the new facilities.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Air France – KLM has an offer of 8,692 weekly seats to Panama City (PTY), this represents an increase of 2.2% compared to last year’s levels. This fact will contribute with the optimization of the services we offer to our passengers; it expands the amenities and especially, streamlines the flow of travelers in Migration and Customs during high traffic hours», said General Manager of Tocumen, S.A. According to data compiled through Tocumen statistics, Air France – KLM has mobilized 347,967 passengers in Panama City (PTY) in the period January – November 2022. The French-Dutch group is the largest airline operator in Central America’s main airport.
