The Italcol group has opened a processing plant for chicken meat in the district of Capira, with capacity to slaughter up to 6000 birds per hour.  That’s a lotta nuggets!

The chicken processing plant Co. Caribbean. Animal Foods SA, located in Capira, required an investment of $ 6.5 million, and the plan, as explained by representatives of the business group Italcol, “… is to start working to medium capacity and to the extent that the Panamanian market accepts and demands more of the product we will eventually be producing at 100% capacity. ”

The general plant manager and vice president of Itacol group, Luis Felipe Gomez, told Prensa.com that “… ‘The plant is designed in such a way that it covers all international export standards with independent entrances to dirty and clean areas, so that we can reach markets outside of Panama. ‘”
