It is no doubt that WalMart is Latin America’s largest employer when you look at how big Walmart really is in the entire world.
Between Wal-Mart and its affiliate Wal-Mart de Mexico, the U.S. super store employs 624,025 people across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Central America, according to the latest ranking of the region’s employers from Latin Business Chronicle, which ranks the region’s Top 100 Employers by headcount in 2012.
This year’s ranking counts six new entries, including Mexican discount chain Bodega Aurrerá , Brazilian conglomerate Cosan, Colombian financial institution Grupo Bancolombia, and telecommunications giant Telefonica.
