Naturgy Panama announced an investment of US$630 million over the next 4 years

The electricity distribution company Naturgy Panama, announced that it will make an investment of US$630 million aimed at strengthening and modernizing Panama’s electricity distribution system in the next four years.

In a statement, the distributor explained that the funds will be allocated mainly to quality projects and maintenance of the existing network, as well as the development of new circuits and substations, which will significantly improve the country’s electrical infrastructure.

This commitment reflects the company’s firm dedication to providing a reliable and sustainable supply of energy to more than 750,000 customers in its concession area, the company said.

Since its arrival 25 years ago, Naturgy has invested more than $1.5 billion in Panama, demonstrating a solid commitment to the socio-economic and environmental development of the nation.

In addition to its focus on electrical infrastructure, Naturgy also stands out for its commitment to the environment. The company pointed out that it has a 100% renewable energy generation portfolio, thus contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint at the global level and aligning with Panama’s ambitious Sustainable Development goals for 2030.

In line with its environmental commitment, Naturgy has carried out a reforestation program that has resulted in the planting of more than 130,000 trees.

The investment announced by Naturgy Panama not only promises to improve the country’s electricity infrastructure, but also reaffirms its commitment to a sustainable energy future and to the socio-environmental development of Panama.
