The electric power distribution company Naturgy and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Panama, MAC Panama, have signed a sponsorship agreement to collaborate closely in the promotion of art and culture in Panama.

The protocol signing took place on Thursday, April 13, 2023, with the presence of the Country Manager of Naturgy, José Luis Lloret, and the Legal Representative of the MAC, Antonio Murzi. The main objective of this cultural cooperation and sponsorship agreement is to support the MAC in its function and mission of disseminating and stimulating art in the national territory, as well as raising the cultural and educational level of the Panamanian people.

The MAC currently has an important permanent collection of works of art that it seeks to protect and preserve. In addition, the MAC develops cultural cooperation and sponsorship programs with private companies that have a high social and cultural responsibility that can contribute to the process of continuous transformation of the museum.

For its part, Naturgy is a company with a leadership trajectory in social and cultural responsibility in the countries where it operates. Promoting education, cultural wealth, health, research and the inclusion of the most disadvantaged groups through their social investment.

The sponsorship agreement between Naturgy and the MAC will allow the realization of various activities aimed at promoting art and culture in Panama. Among them are the maintenance and operation of the museum facilities, the construction of relationships with the MAC community, the training of staff, as well as any other project or program determined by the MAC Board of Directors in conjunction with its management team.

This sponsorship agreement is an example of how private enterprise and cultural entities can work together to promote culture and art for the benefit of society. Naturgy and the MAC hope that this alliance will be beneficial for the country.
