MUPA Festival, alternative music event

verything is ready for the eighth edition of the MUPA Festival, where the names of the bands that will be participating this 2023 were announced.

This festival is an alternative music event that represents a musical-artistic showcase in the search to generate messages of social awareness, promote emerging artists and provide an interactive space for family coexistence.

Its beginnings were in 2015 and it has positioned itself as one of the most important musical events in our city, with the participation of musical bands, both emerging and of trajectory, with national and international projection in the genres of rock, metal, punk, fusion and others.

This year it will have three days of events, on the first day, Thursday, April 27, the “Educational Day” organized by Atrapando Sueños in Rock and Folk Panama will be held and on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, there will be the outdoor concerts at the Mirador del Pacífico-Cinta Costera.

All the activities of the festival, organized by the Directorate of Culture and Citizen Education of the Mayor’s Office of Panama, are free.

On stage you will be able to enjoy nine (9) bands that were selected from a convocation process, seven (7) invited national bands and two (2) international bands.

The bandings are: La Fiesta Del Eco, Sonoparalelo, Daniel Jacome, Ignus, Eclipse, Mr. Dutch, Sofía Lovag, Adrián El Necio and Monteleón.

Meanwhile, the invited national bands are: Lemiwinks, Ocean, Take You to Mars, Weed, Neema, The Shy and Athica.

The international bands: Pez Errante (Colombia) – Band of Paso and Rain of Fire (Colombia) – Exchange band of the Fiura Festival.

In addition to the good music on stage, the festival will have a series of attractions, games, food area, entertainment area so that the general public can enjoy two days of rock to the fullest.

The Educational Day will be from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 and the outdoor concerts will be on April 28 and 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
