Panama has got to get serious about this as it is wasting time and money by not proactively promoting this beautiful country.
After having canceled the first contest, there has now been a second postponement of the date for receipt of bids in the tourism promotion tender worth $5 million.
The tender to design and implement a campaign of domestic tourism promotion in Panama has in the past had its reference amounts changed, time limits and specifications changed, and the contest has even been declared void. This time, the process is suffering from a new extension of deadlines.

Prensa.com reports that “… companies interested in the contract asked the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) for three more weeks in order to comply with all the requirements of the specification. The request was accepted by the ATP, forcing a change of date for the act which was initially scheduled for March 10, and now will be held on the 28th of this month. ”
