Metro Line 3: Offers Postponed

April 2 is the new date set for the submission of proposals for the design and construction of Line 3 of the Panama Metro, which will reach Ciudad del Futuro in Arraijan.

However, because Metro de Panamá S.A. is publishing specifications and the companies have requested more time to adapt their proposals, it has been decided to postpone the delivery of the documentation for the second time.

The project will be developed under a turnkey scheme, will have a 26.7 km route with 14 stations and will use the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal to cross to Panama West.

The pre-qualified companies are the following:
1.China Railway Group Limited (CHINA RAILWAY) (no es consorcio).
2.Consorcio HP Joint Venture – Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. – POSCO.
3.Consorcio ACPC Línea 3 Acciona Construcción S.A. y Power Construction Corporation of China Limited. (CHINA POWER)
4.Consorcio Oriental Metro Línea 3 – China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. y Beijing Urban Construction Group Co. (CHEC)
5.Consorcio Línea 3 FCC-CICSA-SKEGFCC CONSTRUCCIÓN, S.A.; CARSO INFRAESTRUCTURA Y CONSTRUCCIÓN, A. DE C.V.; SK ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION CO., LTD.
6.Astaldi, S.p.A. (no es consorcio)
7.Consorcio Línea 3 Monorail Panamá Obrascon Huarte Lain, S.A. (OHL), Andrade Gutierrez Engenharia, S.A. y Mota-Engil, Engenharia e Construcao, S.A. (sucursal Panamá – Mota-Engil).
