Pictured in the center, Yomatzy Hazlewood De la Rosa, 23, was crowned Miss Panama 2014 during the annual event at the RIU Hotel in Panama City back in June.  She visited  Trinidad on Monday for a week long visit as covered in this recent article in the Trinidad Express Newspaper.

Reigning Miss Panama Universe 2014 Yomatzy Hazlewood De la Rosa showed some Spanish love in song to the children of the Mother Teresa Home, Laventille when she paid a visit Thursday .

De la Rosa who represented the province of Darien, stands 1.73 m in height and will represent Panama in the 2014 Miss Universe pageant.
She is the third black woman to win the Miss Panama title in the pageant’s 63-year history, and the 4th to represent Panama in Miss Universe.
De la Rosa, arrived in Trinidad on Monday for a week long visit and as the special guest of local cosmetics giant Sacha Cosmetics.
Sacha Cosmetics is the official make up line for the Miss Panama pageant this year and is set to expand its business in that country.
De la Rosa paid a visit to the Mother Teresa Home together with Marisela Moreno, president of the Miss Panama Association and a former Miss Panama World as well as chief executive officer of Sacha Cosmetic Shivam Maharaj. They were greeted by head of the home Sister Grace and businessman Garreth Kalloo and his wife Karla who aids in looking after the home.
Sister Grace welcomed De La Rosa and her entourage and gave them a tour of the home which houses 19 children and adults with physical disabilities.
De La Rosa hugged and interacted with the children who sang and clapped for her and in turn Miss Panama belted out some Spanish songs to the delight of the children.
She presented token to each of the children.
Miss Panama also knelt and joined the sisters of the home in prayer for the health and well being of the children.
De La Rosa said she was humbled and honoured to have visited the Mother Teresa’s Home.
She praised the sisters and caretakers of the home for keeping a clean and comfortable place for the children and for sharing their love and life with them.
Yesterday, De La Rosa officially launched Sacha Cosmetics business in Panama at a reception at the Hyatt Regency hotel, Wrightson Road, Port of Spain.
