Looking for Companies to develop $500 million Works

Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica de Panamá has started a process to prequalify companies for a design and construction project for a fourth transmission line.

According to the prequalification documents, an approval meeting will be held with all those interested in participating in the bidding process, on June 13 at 9 am at the Sheraton Grand Panama Hotel.

The specifications detail that “ … Proposals for prequalification will be received from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on July 12, 2018, at the ETESA offices located in Plaza Sun Tower. “

A statement from the Electricity Transmission Company, issued for the launch of the project, details that “ … Iliana López, specialist in the design of the transmission lines of ETESA, explained the technical concepts. ‘This project will be made up of two phases: the first will consist of construction of the transmission line, with approximately 317 km in length, construction of the Chiriquí Grande 230 KV substation and the expansion of the Panama III substation. In this phase the line will operate at 230 KV, while phase II will include the 500 KV energization of the line’. “
