It was over 100 ago when the RMS Titanic sank after colliding with an iceberg four days into her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City. Now, for the right price, adventurous tourists may have the opportunity to see the shipwreck first hand aboard a manned submersible.

The once-in-a-lifetime trip is being offered by a company named Blue Marble Private, which claims to be organizing 8-day journeys to the infamous shipwreck beginning next year. To make the trip possible the company says it has hooked up with OceanGate, Inc., a manufacturer of manned submersibles, to take nine adventurers at a time from the coast of Newfoundland, Canada on a deep ocean discovery mission to the Titanic.

“Reaching depths of 4,000 metres in a specially designed titanium and carbon fibre submersible, guided by a crew of experts, you will glide over the ship’s deck with a glimpse of where the famous grand staircase was once set, capturing a view that very few have seen, or ever will,” Blue Marble says on its website.

The company notes that since the discovery of the Titanic wreckage in 1985, fewer people have visited the wreckage than have been to space or summited Mt Everest, so why not dive the Titanic if you’re looking for a truly “once-in-a-lifetime experience”?

If all goes well, Blue Marble says it will be scheduling more dives for 2019.
