News from Panama / Friday, September 20th, 2024

The company of Argentine origin dedicated to foreign trade, logistics and customs, Interborders, is committed to becoming one of the main competitors of the Panamanian market and expanding regionally.

The CEO and founder of Interborders, Lucas Bianchi, indicated that as part of its start-ups in Panama, the company has created 15 direct jobs and about 25 indirect, with an initial investment of around US$500,000, expanding that investment range between US$750,000 and US$1,200,000 at the end of 2024.

The company that already has a presence in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, the United States, and now in Panama, operates from its warehouse in the Colón Free Zone, with a warehouse of 4,200 square meters for a storage of goods, with 2,000 rack positions and a controlled temperature space for goods with specific requirements.

Bianchi in an interview with ANPanamá, mentioned that in their interest in expanding in another region they chose Central America because of the amount of trade they have today with South America, and because they have always worked a lot with Central America, so when selecting a country, they chose Panama.

“We chose Panama for obvious reasons, degree of ease of direct foreign investment, degree of freedom with foreign countries, business possibilities, financial freedom to move and to work, in addition, because it is a logistical hub for the region,” Bianchi said.

The CEO of Interborders explained that they want to work from Panama to countries such as Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, the Dominican Republic and Cuba, which are all markets near Panama, from where they can give it an added value.

“We can carry out our export, look for a solution, look for a better route to reduce costs, since those are our markets,” Bianchi said.
