Hotel Occupancy Begins 2019 with Slight Increase

The latest report of the General Comptroller of the Republic, details that only in March the daily average of occupied rooms registered an 8% increase over the same month last year, growing from 4,644 to 5,017.

During the first three months of 2016, 2017 and 2018, the level of hotel occupancy has fallen compared to the same period of each of the previous years, however, in 2019 that behavior was reverted.

On the other hand, between March 2018 and the same month of 2019 the number of available rooms grew slightly by 0.05%, rising from 10,199 to 10,205.
