Franquicias Panameñas, S.A. strengthens its presence in the national market

Franquicias Panameñas, S.A. began operations in the country in 1972 with the aim of merging Dairy Queen and KFC under the same administrative concept. This evolution marked an unprecedented milestone in the Panamanian market, transcending quality, service, new provisions, environmental management and the generation of new jobs.

This uninterrupted growth has strengthened the conglomerate allowing an approximate investment of $3.5 million in the last two years, contributing to the economic growth of Panama.

The investment includes the remodeling of branches and the opening of new restaurants. During 2021 and 2022, more than 14 restaurants were remodeled throughout the national territory and two KFC and two Dairy Queen branches were inaugurated, in the provinces of Colón and West Panama.

In addition, they have made efforts with the investment of more than $20,000 to improve technological platforms, delivery services and website.

Currently it has more than 1,700 jobs directly and indirectly, including more than 10,000 families that are part of the home service providers, supply chain and construction.

In the last two years the franchisee has increased the hours of training of staff, focused on food security and customer service.

On the line of the human factor, the franchisee maintains his pillar of education firm, with the delivery of more than of 12 canteens throughout the country, through its KFC brand, managing to donate more than $40,000 in food per year.

In addition, it has an alliance with the Food Bank and the Food Rescue Foundation, to whom through the Harvest program donates more than 42,000 chicken prey per year and then distributed to homes, nursing homes and children’s eaters.

The favorite ice cream brand Dairy Queen made alliances with recognized international brands, which allowed the launch of new flavors.

With 50 years in the country, the franchise continues to work permanently in order to achieve its sustainability goals, implementing biodegradable packaging in its restaurants throughout the country, in addition to making important alliances for the benefit of the environment.

It recently completed one of the most important projects together with the En

recycling, performs the donation to Novey of all the vinyl material of advertising promotions, in order to transform it into reusable bags that in turn reduces the consumption of plastic bags. As environmental alternatives, the alliance with Biocar is carried out, through the collection of bottles with cooking oil used to be transformed into biodiesel. In this way, water pollution and greenhouse emissions that cause serious damage to the environment are reduced.
