The rating agency Fitch Ratings has confirmed the ‘A+(pan)’ rating with Stable Outlook for Xtra Supermarkets, both in its long-term financial position and in the issuance of bonds for USD 250 million.

The measure reflects the solid financial health of the chain and its ability to fulfill its obligations of one of the largest supermarket chains in Panama.

Karen Barahona, Vice President of Finance at Xtra Supermarkets, said: “We are proud of this rating, which confirms our financial strength and commitment to sustainable growth.”

Fitch Ratings highlights Xtra’s operational efficiency and low price strategy, which allows it to maintain a 27% stake in the competitive Panamanian market, operating 54 stores. The chain has also adjusted its expansion strategy to maximize success in its future growth.
