In a first, the World Meeting of Indigenous Youth, which was held Jan. 17-21, 2019, took place in the Soloy Community on the banks of the Fonseca River in the Diocese of David, Panama.
Young people from indigenous communities around the globe gathered there this week to share the wealth and diversity of their customs as well as their experience of life and faith. For the participants, it also involved organizing in defense of their rights.
