In 2024 the film industry in Panama reached a significant economic impact, generating US$29.9 million and creating more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs.

This growth reflects the strengthening of the audiovisual sector in the country and its potential as an engine of economic and cultural development, in addition, the country has a growing infrastructure of specialized professional services in the area of audiovisual production, such as cameras, sound, editing and visual effects.

To continue promoting this growth, the country’s Film Commission, attached to the Ministry of Trade and Industries (MICI), has launched a campaign aimed at attracting investments in film, commercial and audiovisual production in general.

This campaign is aligned with the government’s strategy of consolidating Panama as a reference film hub, taking advantage of the rapid growth of the global audiovisual market.

As part of the international promotion strategy, the MICI Film Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture (My Culture), launched the video “COME” (Come, in Spanish).

The video highlights, in less than three minutes, the natural, urban and cultural attractions of the country, highlighting its diversity and its ability to offer a unique environment for the production of films, series and other visual content.

The campaign is designed to attract the main international film studios and production companies, as well as investors interested in taking advantage of the tax incentives that the Panamanian government offers for audiovisual productions.
