As they say in sniper school, you can run but you will only die tired.  Why do theses dregs of society think that they can get away with moving to Panama to escape the law.  What amazes me is that it took the FBI so long.

An Austin man who has been wanted since 1998 was arrested Friday, according to a statement from San Antonio FBI and the Austin Police Department.

International fugitive Alexander Emil Ross, 66, was wanted for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, aggravated sexual assault and indecency with a child for acts he committed in Austin in April 1998, the statement said.

Charges from April 29, 1998 allege Ross was practicing unlawful dentistry in Texas and sexually abusing his pediatric patients. After being charged, police say he fled Travis County to avoid prosecution on state charges.

In May of 1998 APD requested FBI’s assistance in apprehending Ross.

The San Antonio FBI and Austin Resident Agency Office found that Ross was living in Panama. Working with the FBI’s Legal Attaché in Panama City, San Antonio FBI facilitated the detention of Ross by Panamanian officials in 2013.

He was deported back to the United States Jan. 9 and will face state charges.
