Energy Projects in Panama

Environmental impact studies have been submitted for the construction of a park for the generation of wind energy and another one for solar energy, both of 20MW of power.

Detail of the projects: 

Energía Verde, S.A. submitted an EIA to build in the district of Gualaca, province of Chiriqui, a wind farm that will have 11 wind turbines, each with a nominal power of 1.8MW. According to the study, the project called “Parque Eólico Chimenea” will involve an investment of approximately $45 million.

Progreso Solar 20MW, S.A. submitted an EIA to build, in the province of Chiriqui, a photovoltaic power plant, consisting of 66,596 crystalline modules 300-72P. The project will occupy an approximate area of 34 hectares and according to the document the investment amount is around $30 million.
