Dulcidio de la Guardia, Minister of Economy and Finance, previously left the government ‘to join the private sector,’ he said publicly, although criticism for the results of his administration blame him for the budget deficit that forced the executive to request a dispenses to the parliament.
Maria Luisa Romero, Minister of Government, left office in April ‘for personal reasons,’ in turn, she replaced Milton Henriquez, current Panamanian ambassador to Spain.
The long list is also made up by Mirei Endara (Environment Minister), Rodolfo Aguilera (Security Minister), Ada Romero (Minister of the Authority for Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises), Ramon Fonseca (Counselor Minister), Meliton Arrocha (Minister of Commerce and Industry), Javier Terrientes (Minister of Health) and Jorge Arango, (Minister of Agricultural Development), among other cabinet members, as deputy ministers and administrators.
Although some were more praised than others, contradictions of resigning people with the style of government were reported, and even, in subsequent statements internal clashes arose, in which official spokesmen tried to minimize, and some also resigned by corruption scandals.
