COPA Airlines launches inaugural flight to Panama

Eighty passengers recently boarded flight 281, the first direct flight from Belize City to Tucuman Airport, Panama.

The service is being provided by COPA Airlines.

The flight costs 600 Belize dollars round trip and is scheduled twice per week on Tuesdays and Fridays, departing Panama at 11:29ª.m. and arriving in Belize City at 12:52p.m. The departure flights are scheduled on the same days leaving Belize City at 2:17p.m. and arriving in Panama at 5:34p.m

According to Jorge Espat, there has been a 6.5 percent growth in passenger arrival at the PGIA for 2015 and November, in particular, saw an unprecedented increase of 37 percent.
