Details of the ten most valuable construction projects in terms of investment, for which environmental impact studies were submitted in the last twelve months.
Of the 10 most important construction projects for which Environmental Impact Studies were submitted to the Ministry of the Environment between August 2016 and July 2017, four are to be developed in the province of Colón, with an estimated investment of $2 billion.
In terms of investment value, there are five projects in the province of Panama, adding up to an investment of close to $963 million, and one in Veraguas, with an expected investment of $323 million.
The four projects that are being developed in the province of Colón are the residential developments “Porto Caribe” and “Proyecto Inmobiliario Hacienda Santa Cecilia”, the port infrastructure work “Panama Colón Container Port” and the energy project “Gas To Power Panama”.
The five projects in the province of Panama are the residential “Condado Point” and “Golf Gardens”, the tourism project “Portones del Mar Yacht Club & Resort” the mixed development “Panama Global City” and construction of the “Instituto Técnico Superior del Este (ITSE)”. In Veraguas the energy project “Parque Eólico La Vikinga” is being developed.
