The Minister of Economy and Finance (MEF), Héctor Alexander, was part of the delegation of ministers, vice-ministers and directors who accompanied the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, to the site where the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal will be built.
The construction of the bridge with a length of 3.6 kilometers including the East and West accesses and with six traffic lanes, will cost B/.1,372.16 million and during its construction will generate more than 3,500 jobs and it will have six lanes.
Similarly, the construction of the aforementioned bridge will contribute to improving the quality of life and productivity of the residents of Western Panama, as well as the provinces of the interior of the country.
The delegation also observed the progress on Line 3 of the Metro that is being built towards West Panama. This work will transform the mobility and quality of life of more than 500,000 residents of Western Panama. The work covers 25 kilometers from Albrook station to Ciudad del Futuro in Arraiján.
