Cole Altom: Hello everyone, I’m Cole Altom, a Managing editor here at Stratfor. With me today is Rebecca Keller for our monthly compass preview. Now, this month’s edition focuses on agricultural biotechnologies, specifically GMO’s. Now Rebecca, the idea of GMO foods can be a little controversial, even unfashionable in some places given the popularity of organic foods. As nice as it would be nice to have free-range everything, there are more than 7 billion people on the planet and current farming techniques might not be sustainable in the long-term, especially in highly populated countries, such as China. Can you talk a little bit about the future of farming in a place like China?
