Bad Boys Bad Boys Whatcha Gonna Do…… Why do they even try hiding in Panama? As they say in sniper school, you can run but you will only die tired! Great work by a great team of pros!!
A Colombian was arrested July 17 in Panama on drug charges connected to Oregon and other states, US Department of Justice officials said.
Daniel Vivas Ceron was arrested in Panama on an indictment from North Dakota and is now awaiting extradition back to the US.
The 34-year-old is allegedly part of an international ring of drug traffickers, specifically fentanyl, and is believed to be connected to the overdose death of a North Dakota teen in January 2015.
Authorities believe that Ceron, while in a Canadian prison, operated a drug ring that moved fentanyl and other drugs from Canada and China into the US.
Law enforcement in North Dakota, Oregon, Florida and Canada cooperated, authorities said.
Five people in North Dakota are facing charges connected to the case.
In Oregon, Brandon Corde Hubbard, 40, is set for trial on September 15, the same day a trial is set to start for 40-year-old Steven Fairbanks Locke. The trial for two others, Carissa Marie Laprall and Channing Lacey, is scheduled for September 22.
