The signing of this agreement is part of the actions that ARPA promotes through its Sea of Opportunities program.
The Association of Panaman Shipowners (ARPA) signed a cooperation agreement with the Panamanian Association of Maritime Law (APADEMAR) for technical collaboration in teaching, research and training projects, as well as in the analysis and review of laws that promote the development of the national maritime sector.
The president of the ARPA, Rodrigo Hernández pointed out that this is a very important agreement because APA the private sector. “Two connected maritime guilds contribute to the country because we both have the interest of representing the maritime industry,” he said.
For his part, the president of APADEMAR, Ramón Franco, indicated that this collaboration agreement represents the commitment of two guilds that work tirelessly to generate proposals and initiatives that ultimately have a positive effect on the country’s maritime sector. “The industry requires many projects in order to maintain its competitiveness and right now we have on the table the revision of Law 57 of Merchant Navy and the regulation of the Cabotage Law, as well as numerous legal and commercial proposals that aim to improve our industry,” he said.
The signing of this agreement is part of the actions that ARPA promotes through its Mar de Oportunidades program, with which a roadmap has been established for technical, scientific and cultural cooperation with various guilds, organizations, institutions and universities for the development of training programs, professional practices, analysis and proposals of legal norms that benefit the Panamanian maritime sector.
