Aeromexico returns to Panama with a new direct route to Mexico City

The Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) has announced that the Aeromexico airline returns to the country, launching a new direct route between Tocumen International Airport and Mexico City.

Starting this summer, Aeromexico will offer a daily flight, which translates into approximately 10,000 monthly seats, strengthening tourism and trade between the two destinations.

Gloria De León Zubieta, Minister of Tourism of Panama, said that the new Aeromexico route between Mexico City and Panama is a great advance for connectivity.

“This daily flight will strengthen cultural and tourist exchange, allowing more travelers to discover the wonders of our country, in addition, it will help us consolidate ourselves as the HUB of Congresses and Conventions of the Americas,” added De León Zubieta.

For his part, José Zapata, Vice President of Sales for the United States, Canada and Latin America of Aeromexico indicated that with the announcement of this new route, the ties between the two countries will be strengthened.

Zapata assured that travelers from Panama will also be able to access the extensive network that Aeromexico offers from Mexico City International Airport, with more than 40 destinations in Mexico, 26 in the United States and 3 in Canada, in addition to direct flights to other continents such as Asia and Europe.
