The Tourism Authority of Panama is putting up for auction 5,800 m2 of land located in the township of San Francisco, which includes the ATLAPA Conventions Center.  This has been tried before and it will be interesting to see if anyone steps up to the plate.  the price is a little rich but you never know in Panama who might have a better plan and money to invest here.

GRANTING BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PUBLIC PROPERTY THE SALE OF FARM No. 286440, WITH A LAND AREA OF 55804.07 M2 AND A CONSTRUCTION AREA OF 28568.00 M2 AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF B /. 123,326,321.01, LOCATED BETWEEN VIA CINCUENTENARIO, VIA ISRAEL, CALLE 77 QUINTA B SUR, Township OF SAN FRANCISCO, DISTRICT AND PROVINCE OF PANAMA AND THE IMPROVEMENTS WHICH MAKE UP THE ATLAPA CONVENTION CENTER .

The expected date of the auction is August 1st 2013.
