While Panama was the choice for home base that I made in my travels that began years ago to southern terrains, there are many more places to go and many reasons for choosing to do so right now.  The good news is the timing could not be better.  One of the places on my bucket list is Patagonia.  But then, why not stop by Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina  on the way down there!!
