The Central American Institute of Public Administration (ICAP), based in Costa Rica, has issued a note of recognition to the Administrative Tribunal of the Civil Service (TAFP) of Panama, highlighting its crucial role in the consolidation of modern and efficient public management in the Central American region.
In the note, the ICAP emphasizes that Panama is a prominent example for the rest of the region due to its Court specialized in the resolution of appeals and actions related to the human resources of public servants. This recognition highlights Panama’s commitment to institutional strengthening and the rule of law in public careers.
Osvaldo De La Guardia, executive director of ICAP, signatory of the note, stressed that since its creation, the TAFP has demonstrated a continuous commitment to the advancement and strengthening of public institutions in Panama.
“The Administrative Court of the Civil Service of Panama not only ensures the protection of the rights of public servants, but also guarantees the efficiency, effectiveness and credibility of the State through a solid and fair management of human talent,” said De La Guardia.
This recognition is a testimony to Panama’s effort to modernize and professionalize its public management, contributing significantly to the stability and institutional development of the country. The work of the TAFP not only benefits public servants, but also strengthens citizens’ confidence in public administration, consolidating Panama as a leader in the region in terms of public management.
