Emergent Cold LatAm invests $15 million in new facilities in Panama

Emergent Cold LatAm, a transnational company dedicated to the storage and logistics of food in controlled temperature, has inaugurated the expansion of its facilities in Panama as part of an investment of US$15 million in the country and US$1.2 billion throughout Latin America.

Since its arrival in Panama in 2021 with the acquisition of Galores Cold Storage, the company has continued its expansion in the region with this modern facility.

With operations in 11 countries, Emergent Cold Latam has established itself as the leading company in refrigerated food logistics and storage in Latin America and the Caribbean, offering solutions for the storage and transport of dry, refrigerated and frozen food.

The new construction expands the company’s capacity to approximately 29,000 pallets, with the possibility of expanding to another 6,000 additional positions, providing comprehensive solutions to its customers in several countries.

Rafael Rocha Senior Commercial Vice President for Latin America of Emergent Cold LatAm, highlighted the importance of this expansion and how it allows to offer even more complete solutions to customers in the region.

For his part, Alain Eichmann, General Director of the Caribbean region, highlighted the logistical advantages of Panama as a strategic point of connection between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, facilitating access to markets in Europe and Asia, complemented by the value-added solutions offered by Emergent Cold LatAm.
