As an ideal destination for sports and water tourism in the region, Panama continues to be projected, and proof of this is the recent celebration of the Panama International Regatta, an event organized by Club Sea Masters Sailing for the second consecutive year, which took advantage of the strategic location of Panama Bay for its development.
This international light sailing competition, had the participation of sailors from France, Argentina, Venezuela, Switzerland, and Panama, carrying out the competition in two categories: the youth in Optimist and the adult in the RS Quest.
The Panama International Regatta is a commitment to sports and nautical tourism in Panama, which has the potential to reach the same level of international championships that are held in destinations such as Bermuda, Argentina, the Bahamas, and the United States, among others, which bring together hundreds of competitors, with their teams, family and spectators from all over the world for these events.
According to the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), the Isthmus being a privileged territory by the sea, it promotes the exploitation of similar activities and that attract visitors who are looking for exciting experiences, in connection with natural elements and where spectacular landscapes of Panama City can be taken advantage of.
