The multinational company of Productos Extragel y Universal S.A., based in Peru, evaluates the investment opportunities offered by Panama, to create a food distribution center for Latin America and the Caribbean, taking advantage of the geographical advantage offered by the isthmus.

The information was corroborated by directors of the General Directorate of Investment Attraction Marketing and General Directorate of Headquarters of Multinational Companies (SEM), of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MICI), after a meeting with Peruvian businessmen.

Hardeep Bhullar, general director of Investment Attraction Marketing, said that together with the businessmen they visited the Private Free Zone, Panapark, the largest in Panama, where they were received by the Sales and Marketing Manager, Arsenio González.

Bhullar, explained that, in addition to the distribution center, investors have an interest in light manufacturing for some of their marketing lines of mass consumption products, for example, in their labeling and re-packaging, Bhullar added.

It should be noted that this is the first time that the Peruvian multinational visits Panama and learns about the competitive advantages that the country offers and that makes us the ideal destination for international companies to invest in Panama, generating employment opportunities and economic growth.
