Entrepreneurs train to promote tourism in Azuero

A total of 50 entrepreneurs whose business model focuses on hostels, tourist guides, restaurants, agrotourism experiences, among others, completed their training in the Re-Actívate Panama Tourism program, for the strengthening of tourism entrepreneurship and innovation in Pedasí, and the productive reactivation of the Azuero Peninsula.

This training was divided into stages, the 50 entrepreneurs chosen to participate in the program began online business and sectoral strengthening courses, in the second phase and according to the evaluation and potential of their ventures and microenterprises, 25 entrepreneurs were chosen who worked in creativity and innovation workshops.

They were also trained in business issues whose objective was focused on building a value offer, a business model to validate it in the market, stimulating clustering dynamics towards the generation of a possible integrated offer.

After the workshops, 20 entrepreneurs with more robust businesses were selected for the final phase of personalized mentorships dictated by specialized advisors of the Network of Mentors of the Ciudad del Saber Foundation in the different areas of business management such as strategy, marketing, financing, quality of services, tourism products, social networks for tourism companies and others.

This program was carried out through the Alliance for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of Panama-AEI Panama, together with Grupo Rey, Fundación Ciudad del Saber and Banco Delta, created as a plan to support tourism throughout the country, through training for entrepreneurs in the sector, to promote a long-term tourism and productive entrepreneurship plan, which promotes small, medium and large companies.
