Ciudad Judicial will be Built in Veraguas for $40 million

In the Second Judicial District and, in particular, in the province of Veraguas, the Judicial Body has 24 jurisdictional dependencies.

Of these, more than 50% have their headquarters in the district of Santiago; in addition to these jurisdictional instances, a significant number of judicial aid and storage units are added, housed in buildings leased for decades.

The Judicial Body is aware that in he inhabitants are in need to attend hearings and other judicial proceedings, as well as to carry out administrative procedures in the facilities of the Judicial Body in the district of Santiago; so the construction of their own building is required, which concentrates most of the judicial units and does not represent an obstacle to distancing and infrastructure, so that users of the System and judicial officials can attend.

The project as a whole will take a time of 1,460 calendar days, from the order to proceed and will be located on the land in front of the La Luz urbanization, in the city of Santiago, province of Veraguas.

The contractor must prepare a total environmental impact study of the project and submit it for approval by the corresponding entities.

The approval date is scheduled for January 16, 2023 and the presentation of the proposals will be in February. The tender is for the best value.
