The Panamanian Hotel Association (APATEL) has formalized the creation of the Chiriquí Chapter with the aim of promoting the tourism potential of this province and complying with the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan that seeks to promote this sector of Panama locally and internationally.

A press release from the guild, assured that David’s Enrique Malek international airport will also be promoted for commercial routes if the streamlining of procedures and expeditious passage for travelers through Paso Canoas will be promoted.

“This initiative seeks to ensure that the attractions and tourist events of this province receive the necessary support to achieve benefits for the sector and the associated hotels of APATEL,” the note says.

The president of the guild, Raúl Jiménez, reported that to promote a destination it is necessary to achieve its promotion and, precisely, with the opening of this first regional chapter, the level of visitors will be increased and the attractions of the province will be promoted.

“Activately supporting the initiatives of our partners in the haughty province of Chiriquí is important, because it has tourist attractions framed in the Master Plan of Sustainable Tourism that is sought to promote locally and internationally,” Jiménez said.

The Panamanian Association of Hotels registers 125 members nationwide, of which 10.4% are from the province of Chiriquí. With the creation of this regional chapter, it is expected to increase this percentage variation of hotels in this region.
